IFMA's Global Job Task Analysis Survey

Help define what it is you do — take IFMA’s Global Job Task Analysis survey

IFMA’s Global Job Task Analysis (GJTA) is a landmark initiative to thoroughly define the practice of facility management. The last analysis was conducted seven years ago, and it identified the 11 core competencies of facility management.

The GJTA survey will open Jan. 12, 2016, and close Feb. 9, 2016. The success of this initiative is dependent upon worldwide participation by practicing facility managers. If you don’t define your job, someone else will.

Take IFMA’s survey at — ensure that the definition of FM reflects what you do so that you may be measured on how well you do it. Your responses will be instrumental in defining what it means to be a competent facility manager in today’s global business environment.

Survey results will be used to:

  •   Define objectives and responsibilities common to FMs worldwide;
  •   Identify and validate the tasks and knowledge of competent FM performance;
  •   Better understand regional and industry-specific concerns and demands.

This is the only global effort being made to obtain a “big picture” view of facility management. Ensure that your work activities and the context in which those activities are carried out are included in the body of knowledge and skills required to perform your job successfully.
